LPU offers Diploma (Engg.) Mechanical Engineering (ME) and duration of this course is three years. Candidate pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10th (with Mathematics, Science and English) or equivalent can apply for this course. There is 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants. Programme Fee of this course is Rs 50000 without scholarship. Student can also avail scholarship on the basis of percentage in previous qualifying exam, LPUNEST exam , National Level Exams, performance in Innovation, Start-up, Entrepreneurship & Hackathons., basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R & D, Co-curricular, Social Service, Bravery Awards, Special scholarship for board toppers, Financial Aid – Need based i.e Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and special categories that includes Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student, Financial Aid for Serving/Retired Defence/CAPF/Para – Military Personnel and their Dependants, Financial Aid to Persons with certain disability and orphans.
